It is said that king Gyeongdeok of the Silla kingdom was so mesmerized by the beauty o fthe place that he visited the place nine times and the palce was also called as Gura-ri meaning coming nine times.The best of the views of the flower garden in the resort are available from the Sanghwadae Stand.
