Stone Lantern of Buinsa Temple is a lantern sculpted out of stone in the compound of the Buinsa Temple and was designated as Tangible Cultural Properties 16 on May 30, 1988. This stone lantern is placed in front of stone pagoda in the temple as a symbol to enhance respect for Buddha in peoples minds. This is a common practice followed in many Daegu temples, however the stone lantern of Buinsa Temple is particularly popular among the tourists as it is well preserved in its original shape and shows an excellent skill in carving lotus flowers. It has aesthetic beauty in balance and harmony, too.

Come to Buinsa Temple by taking the city bus No. 131 bound for Sinmu-dong at Dong-gu Office and get off at the last stop. After getting off the bus, walk for 20 minutes to reach the temple. There is a good frequency of bus service on this route as bus No. 131 bound for Sinmu-dong runs every hour.
