Valley of Gwaneumsa Temple Daegu

The temple is situated in the vicinity of the Tamna Valley. At the entrance of the beautiful valley of Mt. Hallasan lays the temple of Gwaneumsa, regarded as the headquarters of Jogyejong Sect of Buddhism in Daegu. The splendid building atop the valley was constructed in 1964. The new building replaced the old one which was ruined by a fire. The temple is also the pride destination for many hikers who simply loves the way up to the exciting destination of Mt. Hallasan.
The "Tamraji" by Yi Won-jin has traces of many temples and Shaman in Daegu. Previously the Valley of Gwaneumsa temple, Daegu was located in the Jocheon inlet, later it was established by Anbongryeogwan a Buddhist monk at its present place.
