The Daegu Foot ball Club appeared for their K-League debut in 2003. Lee Byung-Keun, the famous South Korean football player plays for Daegu Football Club as a defender. The construction of the Daegu World Cup Stadium was completed in May 2001. The approximated cost for setting up the Deagu World Cup Stadium was 265,000,000 USD. It may be mentioned here that Daegu World Cup Stadium was used as a football venue for the 2002 World Cup and it also happens to be the home stadium for the Daegu Football Club of the Korea Professional Soccer League. Daegu World Cup Stadium can accommodate 68,000 people and has got parking facilities for 3550 cars.
