The Municipal Art Groups (Art Hall) was set up by the Daejeon Culture and Arts Center. The Culture and Arts Center aims at grooming talented and upcoming artists in Daejeon in the fine arts. Municipal Art Groups (Art Hall), Daejeon is both a training center and a performance venue. Located at Manyeon-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, the Municipal Art Groups (Art Hall) opened up in 2003 and aimed at providing the infrastructure required for the musical maestros of the region to provide the citizens of Daejeon a world class experience and a heart rendering recital. The Municipal Art Groups (Art Hall) is located in the Daejeon Culture and Arts Center complex, sprawling over 100,000 square meters area. The Municipal Art Groups of Daejeon trains up the younger generation in piano, violin, viola, cello, flute and clarinet and adults in theater, dancing and music. The training is conducted by holding regular training and practice sessions and also by introducing the trainees to the renowned names in the world of art and music. Guest lecturers are organized and the future prodigies are given every possible facility to aid them in their endeavor.
The Art Hall comes complete with 28 dressing rooms and 28 rehearsal halls. The Art Hall boasts of excellent planning and the acoustics of the hall provide the extra boost required for a great performance. Besides the Arts Hall, the Daejeon Culture And Arts Center also boasts of a well equipped Ensemble Hall and a Convention Hall. The Municipal Art Groups (Art Hall) Of Daejeon is surrounded by a serene park and the tranquil environment allows for a harmony filled outdoor performance. The Municipal Art Groups (Art Hall) Of Daejeon is one of the premier art complexes in the city and has been extremely successful in the past 3 years in promoting fine arts.
