Transportation in Daejeon by Bus
Daejeon has an excellent system of public transportation including local buses. There are two types of busses, one is a stand up bus that cost 600 won and the other is a sit down which is 1200 won. Transportation to Daejeon is made by the Limousine Bus from Incheon International Airport. You can take this bus at Stops 8. There are 3 limousine bus stops in Daejeon. (Mok won Daedok Culture Center, Daejeon Government Complex and Dong-Bu Express Bus Terminal).
To get to KAIST or Yousung Hotel, you can take a Limousine Bus from Incheon Int'l Airport to Daejeon. Main routes of transportation in Daejeon by bus include:
- IIA (Incheon International Airport)
- Mok won Daedeok Culturer Center
- South Gate of the Daejeon Government Complex
- Dongbu Express Bus Terminal
Outer City Limit Shuttle buses and city buses require your transfer to be made within 80 minutes from the time you first get on the bus. There are buses in front of City Hall (5 routes) and other shortcut buses that require that your transfer be made within a 60 minutes from the time you first get on the bus.
For better transportation in Daejeon there are Inter-City Bus Services. The three express bus terminals and two intercity bus terminals in Daejeon are available for the travlers convenience. The two bus terminals include:

Transportation in Daejeon by Taxi
Speaking of transportation in Daejeon , taking a taxi is generally faster and than taking the bus, but it is more expensive. If you prefer to take a taxi, simply walk to the nearest street and wave one down by extending your arm and motioning for a taxi to stop. The basic fare for a taxi is 1800 won from 6 a.m. to midnight and 2000 won from midnight to 6 a.m.
Daejeon Sub-way
Daejeon Sub-way Line 1 is the first of five planned lines for the Daejeon Metropolitan Subway. It will stop at 22 stations along a 22.6 kilometer course, from Oesamdong Station in Yuseong-gu to Panamdong Station in Dong-gu.
