The sport of boxing in general is known by many names. It is called as prizefighting when the professionals are in the ring for the bout, the sweet science or even gentleman's sport. The port is basically a form of Martial arts where two participants of similar weights fight it out in the ring by punching, jabbing and knocking out the opponent.
Boxing in South Korea has recently gained much of popularity. In the previously concluded Athens Olympics the country was represented by seven boxers. The team returned triumphant with two bronze medals. An achievement to relish! As a matter of fact South Korea stood twelfth in the Boxing ranks tied with four other countries.
