Shooting in South Korea

Col. Jeff Cooper, the father of modern shooting laid down four basic rules for handling firearms-
- A firearm should not be aimed at anything one is not willing to kill or destroy.
- One should keep the finger off the trigger and outside the trigger -guard until your sights are on the target.
- One should know ones target thoroughly. Be fully aware of what the firearm and ammunition can do, what lies between you and your target and also what lies beyond.
The four basic shooting positions are as follows-
- Prone
- Sitting
- Kneeling
- Standing
In reality, standing happens to be the oft-used position while at the same time it is also the most difficult position to shoot.
Shooting in South Korea- In the 2002 Asian Games, the South Korean shooters bagged six gold medals, four of which were from South Korean team events.
Amongst the various Asian Games, Shooting is the second gold-rich sport. One can bag as much as 44 medals from the game of shooting.
According to Eun Chul Lee, the world famous Korean Rifle shooter, Korea has got many good shooters who shoot really well.
Shooting in South Korea is gradually gaining popularity and many budding shooters in South Korea are trying to carve a niche for themselves in South Korea.
