South Korea Bus Travel

South Korea - Daegu - Incheon - Jeju - Seoul - Daejeon
Busses are probably the best way of traveling across the length and breadth of South Korea. Frequent bus services make life easy for both the tourist and the South Korean citizen. Bus services are inexpensive in comparison to most other modes of transport in the country. Bus services from most of the city's major airports take the visitors right into the heart of the city. Every 12 minutes a Gimpo Airport Express bus departs from the airport to the city. In South Korea the inter city bus connectivity is really superlative. The services are low-cost and follow strict timetable. The busses compete with train services in terms of speed and this is made possible by the excellent roadways of the country. Bus lanes on the highways are exclusive. Busses are categorized as Local, City and Express Busses. The fares range from 500 KWR to about 1400 KRW depending on the distance and the category chosen. The extensive network of busses reaches one to every small and big town in the country. The routes of the City busses denote the bus numbers and tourists may do well to learn these bus numbers before boarding as the bus signs are written in Korean. The long distance travelers may well chose the Express busses. These may be either regular or deluxe. The deluxe express busses provide a number of luxuries to the passenger that others do not offer. These include mobile connectivity and movies on VCRs. the seating arrangements on these are also cozy and comfortable. The intra city Express busses are known as Chwasok busses. The bus fare is to be in exact change into a coin box. This is placed on the right hand side of the driver. to descend at your stop, one needs to push the stop button on the bus.
