The stadium bears special features like 2 giant video screens, a running track and three stories underground. This multipurpose Jeju sports venue also offers facilities for artificial rock climbing and bungee jumping, restaurants, conference centers and open air theatres. The spectators in the Jeju World Cup Stadium are offered a spectacular view of Mt. Halla, the tallest peak in South Korea, as well as the small islands in the South China Sea, only a kilometer away. The Jeju World Cup Stadium is designed in the shape of an Oreum, a kind of volcano, which is found all over Jeju Island. The shape of the roof of the stadium symbolizes the traditional Jeju fishing boats, Teu. The entrance of the stadium bears definite resemblance to Olle and Jeongnang, the gate and entrance of the traditional thatched-roof home. Jeju World Cup Stadium is situated in the city of Seogwipo, a small South Korean island province of Jeju-do. This stadium is one of the most popular sport venues in Jeju and home to K-League football side Jeju United.
