Jeju Education Museum displays the conventional methods of education in the island of Jeju. The displays portray how the education used to be imparted long time back. These life sized exhibits are the main attraction of the museum. They also show the classrooms and study halls. You will also get to play some of the games that the children are taught to play in their childhood. These exhibits are participatory, that means even you can be a part of these games and enjoy yourself to the fullest in the Jeju Education Museum.

You can travel to the Jeju Education Museum by taking bus number 500, if you are going there from the airport. you have to get down in front of court.

The most interesting part about the visit to the Jeju Education Museum is reserved for the children. They are made to wear the traditional costumes of those times and learn more about the history of education in the island of Jeju. While entering the museum, you will find model villages, which consists of houses, a mill stone, grave site, 5 floored pagodas. Some of the displays have English names given to them but mostly they are in Korean. The descriptions are also in Korean language.

The Jeju Education Museum has different timings for different seasons. In the summer months, which is from March to October, the Jeju Education Museum is open form 10 am in the morning to 6 in the evening. In the winter months, form November to February the museum remains open from 10 in the morning to 5 in the evening. The Jeju Education Museum remains closed in the first of January, Lunar New Year and the Harvest Moon Festival. Other than that it remains closed on every Monday and temporary holidays.

For getting inside the Jeju Education Museum you have to pay nothing! Yes, that’s right; the admission to the museum is free.
