Travel to the island of Jeju, which covers a total land area of about 1,810 square kilometers that is further divided into 8 populated isles and 54 unoccupied islets. Jeju Island is positioned at the 127°27°E in its eastern longitude of and towards the northern latitude at about 33°22°N. Jeju Island is located in the South Korea Strait, lying close to the Jeollanam-do Province, along its southwestern tip. Jeju Island was formed by volcanic eruptions that have its connection with the South Korean peninsula. This continental island witnessed a rise in the sea level due to volcanic outbursts that divided the land from the mainland and constituted the present island. Tjeju Island witnessed the formation of Mt.Halla, which is embedded with about 500 General Rocks.
