Cheonjeyeon Waterfall Jeju

Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, Jeju, also known as “The pond of God” has three distinctive parts. Cascading down from the roof of a cave located to the east of the waterfall, Cheonjeyeon Waterfall is formed. Gushing down from the main waterfall, two small waterfalls are formed, which together flows into the sea. Rare plants like solipnan reeds could be seen around the falls. a cave is located in the east from the ceiling of which ceiling cold water pours down creating the waterfall. The Seonimgyo Bridge of the Cheonjeyeon Valley connects Cheonjeyeon with the Jungmum Tourist Complex. There is also an octagonal tower in Cheonjeyeon known as “Cheonjeru tower.” A painting of the surface of this towers states Cheonjeyeon’s legend of the nymph and mountain god. Every year in the month of May, an enormous Chilseonyeo Festival is observed here.

The Airport Limosine Bus No. 600 could be plied from the Jeju Airport that will take you to Yeomiji Botanical Garden via Jungmun and Seogwipo. You can purchase the tickets to the Cheonjeyeon Waterfall, Jeju from the botanical garden, which is just a five to ten minutes walk from the bus stop. Private cars and taxis could also be hired from the airport, which takes half an hour to forty minutes to reach the botanical garden. Cheonjeyeon Waterfall remains open from 8 am to 7 pm from March to October and 8 am to 6 pm from November to February. The admission tickets for the adults costs 2,700 won and 1,470 won for the teenagers and children. Entry for the senior citizens is free.
