Cheonwhang sa Temple Jeju
South Korea - Daegu - Incheon - Jeju - Seoul - Daejeon
The Cheonwhang-sa Temple in Jeju, though, is now a poor shadow of the glory it had in its early days. Much of the Cheonwhang-sa Temple in Jeju stands almost in ruins; with little of the premises being renovated and rebuilt. One of the only things that have undergone reconstruction in the Cheonwhang-sa Temple in Jeju is the Main Prayer hall and the residence hall of the Monks who reside there. In the early days the Cheonwhang-sa Temple in Jeju was a famous place that served as a hermitage. It still continues to do so even today, though on a smaller scale. The construction of the Cheonwhang-sa Temple in Jeju is very traditional, with a wide flight of stairs leading up to the entrance of the main temple. The main attraction within the Cheonwhang-sa Temple in Jeju is the Buddha statues that fill the main Prayer Room of the Cheonwhang-sa Temple in Jeju. In this room, there are around a hundred or so small statues of the Buddha lining the entire scope of the room.
