Oedolgae Rock Jeju
South Korea - Daegu - Incheon - Jeju - Seoul - Daejeon
Located off the coast of the Seougwipo City, the Oedolgae Rock in Jeju looks almost like a Aphrodite rising out of the lapping waves. The Oedolgae Rock in Jeju is also called ‘Changgun Rock’ by the locals. The Oedolgae Rock in Jeju rises out of the sea to a height of 20 meters; standing sentinel to a few small islets and rocks like the Burn Island, the Sae Island and the Seonnyu Rock that surround it. The pillar-like Oedolgae Rock in Jeju has a circumference that measures about 10 meters. The Oedolgae Rock in Jeju was formed out of a volcanic eruption, which is said to have occurred some 1.5 million years ago. Over the ages, this outcropping from then sea has withstood adverse weather conditions and been shaped by them to what we see of it today.
The Oedolgae Rock in Jeju in the recent past, in 2003, also appealed to the fancy of Television producers, who used the Oedolgae Rock in Jeju to film a series. Aside of this, the Oedolgae Rock in Jeju is quite a popular feature that very few visitors to the island-province of Jeju miss out on. After all, the grass-topped Oedolgae Rock in Jeju is an attraction that is not worth a miss.
