Insa Art Space, Seoul

The Insa Art Space was set up with the noble aim to solve the financial difficulties that were affecting the lives of the locals severely. It was a genuine attempt undertaken by the government of the region to help the artists of the region. So the Insa Art Space simultaneously aims at solving the financial problems of the locals and thereby promoting the art work of the region.

The museum was opened on 26th of May, 2000. The maintenance of the Insa Art Space is the sole responsibility of the government. It is a part of the more successful national art support policies that are undertaken by government. In order to promote the art and the culture of the region the Insa Art Space promotes experimental and the progressive art works of the various artists.

The displays that are finally decided to be featured in the Insa Art Space require passing through a series of the curator's research. Also there are numerous open exhibition held that are hosted to select the best of the works. All the artists who are finally selected are allowed to display their art for two weeks and they are required to pay no charges for their display.

The Insa Art Space is located at Gwanhun-dong of Jongno-gu.

Opening Hours
The Insa Art Space can be visited from 11in the morning to 7 in the evening.
The Insa Art Space is open on days of the week excepting the Mondays.

Admission Fees
Admission to this museum is free.

Getting there
From the Anguk station (Seoul Subway line 3) head towards the road that leads to the crown bakery and LG 25. From there the museum is only a 5 minute walk.
