The Owl Art & Craft Museum is located in Seoul South Korea and provides a
unique opportunity to the lovers of this nocturnal bird to express their appreciation
and admiration to the excellent work and to exchange views with other owl lovers.
The display here consists of a number of figurines, sculptures, paintings and
other forms or likeliness of owls created or crafted out of every conceivable
material. From cloth stuffed owls to owls made of plasticine and from lifelike
paintings to owl wood carvings, the visitor will certainly get a glimpse of the
abundant art and craft in the country that holds the bird, owl as its central
theme. One cannot but stop to admire the ingenuity of the artists as one sees
owl theme screens and blinds, cutlery and crockery, vases and stamps here. More
than 2000 items bearing owl motifs have been collected from over 70 countries
including China, USA, Czech Republic and Poland. Remarkably not a single stuffed
owl has been put up on display. The Owl Art & Craft Museum, Seoul is located
in a private residence. The place was recently renovated and revamped by the owners
and an owl printed wall paper has been added to heighten the unique effect of
the place. The visitors to this museum are treated to excellent tea.
To reach the Owl Art & Craft Museum in Seoul one needs to take the
Samcheong-dong Road from Exit 2 Anguk Station. A short walk past the Korea Banking
Institute will take you to the museum. it can be easily identified by the sign
"Tea and Owls"
The admission fee charged at the Owl Art And Craft Museum, Seoul is 5000 KRW
