Seoul the capital and the largest city of South Korea is home to over ten million people. It is one of the largest and most densely populated cities of the world. Apart from these the mountain ranges attracts thousands of tourists round the year. The Yangjae Citizens' Forest in Seoul is a spectacular forest and is a big draw for the tourists. Located near Yangjae Tollgate on the Gyeongbu highway, the Yangjae Citizens' Forest was built for the 1986 Asian Games and 1988 Seoul Olympics. The construction process went on for a period of 3 years. The forest is spread over an expanse of 3,58,992 sq meters. Admission into Yangjae Citizens' Forest is absolutely free. The major landscape attractions of the park are Grass Field, Octagonal Pavilion, and Pagora (wisteria trellis). If one is a sports freak then one can make use of the basketball and the Tennis courts. Children can have a nice time here playing on the children's playground. Another major structure in Yangjae Citizens' Forest is the Memorial Hall for Patriot Yun Bonggil. There is also an outdoor wedding hall. The forest provides for a parking lot as well that has a capacity for 571 cars. On every Sunday there is an educational program conducted for children on the "Lives of Autumn's Dragonflies". The classes are designed for both children (kindergarten and elementary school students) and parents to participate together.
