The huge supply of fresh fishes comes from fifteen sea ports in Korea. The fish market mainly sells fish items on wholesale. This market remains open twenty four hours a day. An entire floor is devoted to auctioning of fish which remains especially crowded in the wee hours of the morning. The auction starts from 1 at night and continues till 6 in the evening. However fishes are sold to retail buyers too. The retail sales at Seoul's Noryangjin Fish Market start from 3 in the morning and continue till 9 at night. The retailers work all seven days a week but the wholesale market remains closed on every Sunday and during public holidays. Noryangjin Fish Market is Seoul does not only sell raw fishes. The market houses more than a dozen restaurants that expectedly serve some of the best sea foods in South Korea. Housing an agricultural section, this market sells all kinds of vegetables too.
