History of the Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul

Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul popularly known as the "Northern Palace" was set up in 1395. Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul is considered to be the most beautiful palace amongst five other palaces. King Taejo, founder of the Joseon Dynasty constructed the palace in 1395.

A unique feature of the Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul is that it is fenced squarely and has four gates on the fence in all directions. The Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul had undergone vast changes and many of the original features which were first built have been changed.
