Namsangol Hanok Village, Seoul is a traditional hamlet set in this Korean city of Seoul. This is considered as one of the major tourist attractions for visiting which travelers from all over the world have been coming to this land for years. The mark of Korean tradition has made its permanent places on each and every object of this village as well as in the nature of the villagers.

Located among the skyscrapers, the Namsangol traditional Korean village comes as a pleasant surprise. The village is centred on five reinstated Korean historical homes. The houses belong to various social ranks of the society from the common peasant to the King. These homes are depicting a variety of social levels from the Joseon Dynasty. This beautiful hamlet can easily be termed as a time capsule in the midst of the city with its peaceful pond and pavilion. Furniture is displayed inside to help you to understand their daily lives. It includes a large common area where you play a traditional game.

The Exhibition Hall at Namsangol Hanok Village, Seoul holds conventional handiworks produced by artists who have been designated as "Human Cultural Property" by the government. The Exhibition Hall was constructed from Dec. 28, 1993 - Dec. 31, 1997.

Visitors heading for this destination cherish an aim of exploring the houses. Moreover, they can also enjoy traditional tea, shop for souvenirs or browse traditional crafts. Try your hand at ancient games like 'neolttwigi' which is the sport of jumping on a see-saw or arrow throwing. At weekends in summer traditional wedding ceremonies are held at midday.
