South Korea - Daegu - Incheon - Jeju - Seoul - Daejeon
Seoul Plaza, Seoul is located outside the City Hall of Seoul. To be
more precise, the Seoul Plaza is located around the fountain area which is in
front of the Seoul City Hall. In the recent past, the area adjacent to the Seoul
Plaza went through some renovation work. The plaza opened again on 1st May in
the year 2004. This place is one of the favorite destinations for shopping in
Seoul.
The Seoul Plaza of Seoul is located in a very convenient position. It is in
the middle of the cultural and historical center of Seoul. Shopping becomes
all the more enjoyable as this pedestrian plaza is near the beautiful fountain.
The fountain is based on a water tank that is built beneath the ground. The
highly expertise technique allows the directions and heights of the water columns
to be controlled as required. As the lights change, the water columns of the
fountain dance to it. To tourists and visitors, it may seem like the water is
coming up from the surface of water. The lights also allow tourists to catch
a glimpse of the surrounding landscape that form an integral part of the exciting
night scenery.
48-odd lights were recently installed around the exotic grass square, where
cultural events are organized on a large-scale. The second opening of Seoul
Plaza of Seoul was marked with observing the "Hi, Seoul Festival' that
was celebrated for nine days. Many other cultural festivals and events are also
organized around the Seoul Plaza.
