La Tavola Restaurant

La Tavola Restaurant, Seoul
Address: 123-33 Itaewon, Yongsan-Gu
Phone: 793-6144
Credit cards: Accepted (American Express, Diner's Club, MasterCard and VISA)

La Tavola restaurant is situated in the heart of Itaewon. It was the first restaurant to bring real Italian food to the area and was also the first to bring in a wood-fired brick oven for pizza. Rightfully so, it was and still is one of the most popular restaurants in Itaewon. A lot of people come here for the social atmosphere. The place is equipped to handle large parties. You can eat and drink and have a relaxing time here.

The thing that keeps people coming back to La Tavola is the consistently quality food. The restaurant offers a wide range of pastas and wood oven baked pizzas. The Napoletana, diable and quatro staggione are recommended. Our favorite things on the menu are the beef carpaccio, the pan-fried mushrooms and the mushroom soup, the gnocchi, the penne arrabiata, the rib-eye steak and the salmon. The risotto is also good. The thin crust pizzas are super tasty and there are several kinds to choose from. They're thin and crispy on the edge, just like they're supposed to be. You can also avail Sunday brunch or dinner. The desserts are lip smacking.

The wine collection is also very good. Both hot and cold beverages are available in this restaurant. The menu is varied and through years of experience they've gotten things just right. Italians whether they are coming from Italy or New York praise the quality and taste of the food offered here. La Tavola has truly become an Itaewon classic.

The Hollywood Bar upstairs and the La Cigale/Montmarte Brasserie downstairs are under the same management. It's very popular with the foreign community. There is no dress code as such. Reservations are accepted. The restaurant provides out door dining facility. Other services include catering and private room.
