Tani Restaurant in Seoul is a very well known Japanese restaurant. It is situated in the heart of the city. The mega-popular Tani restaurant in Cheongdam-dong has opened a bright new sister restaurant at the new Avenue L extension of the Lotte Dept store. Tani next door has a Japanese Zen meets African tribal feel. There are stone accents, big round twisted wood lampshades and the spaces are separated by intricate wood-carved screens. The ceilings are very high and there are two enormous trees growing inside the main dining area! The attractive outdoor terrace makes the place an even more special place to dine.

The restaurant offers you some of the most exotic and delicious multicultural and traditional food you can imagine. The food is prepared by master chefs. So try the specialties and delight your senses like no other dining experience you have had before. The menu is varied and gives you the opportunity to choose from. Starting from salad, rice and noodles, Hors D'oeuvre, sushi rolls, Tani style Don, a la carte sushi, Kushiage, Kushiyaki, lunch course, dinner course, lunch special, Sashimi, soup, desserts, champagne and you have it all here.

Tani is often compared to Nobu due to the extensive sushi menu and high quality of food. There are little appetizers like tomato wrapped in bacon and chicken teriyaki. Favorite main dishes include beef tenderloin topped with foie gras. Just like the other Tani, the food is artistically presented on gorgeous pottery dishes. It's so pretty; you almost don't want to eat it. This is a great lunch place as well due to it's proximity to the offices at city hall.
