Features of Geomundo Island in South Korea
Geomundo Island in South Korea was once named as Samdo Island. According to a legend, there was a belief that a great scholar was born here. There was a 30m height male genital organ shaped rock below the sea of Mt. Suweolsan in Seodo Island. It was named it as Munpilam Rock. According to a folk legend, Admiral Jeong Yeochang of the Qing Dynasty in China came to the island and was deeply impressed by his writings and thus named as Geomundo.
