Moses Miracle of Jindo in Jeollanam-do is a unique natural phenomenon. This wonder of the natural world shares a resemblance with the legendary hero Moses and a replica of the same phenomenon occurs when the sea parts and two islands are joined during an ebb tide. A stretch of land with a length of around 2.8 kilometers and a width of 40 meters gets exposed and is visited by people in large numbers. A special festival is dedicated to this natural wonder that is only exclusive to the country of South Korea.

A legend however is associated with the Moses Miracle of Jindo. It is a popular belief that when the village of Jindo was attacked by tigers, all the villagers had left for the village of Modo except an old lady who was left alone. Out of despair she then prayed to the Sea God for help and the sea God answered her prayers by parting the Sea. However, this magical phenomenon was known to the world when Mr. Pierre Randi, a French Ambassador in Korea came to visit Korea in 1975 and wrote about it in a French Newspaper.
