The Eight Views of Danyang popularly refers to eight sights in Danyang. The Eight notable sights are Haseonam, Jungseonam, Sainam, Sangseonam, Gudambong, Oksunbong, Dodamsambong and Seokmun. The eight views take n together makes for a great historical site to visit and therefore were frequented by learned scholars in large numbers during the Joseon Period.   -   Dodamsambong is the most well known among the Eight Views. The uniqueness lies in the fact that three rocks stands upright in the middle of the Namhangang River. The three rocks make an S like structure together and this awesome scene can be viewed only in Danyang.

  -   The Sainam Rock is a rock cliff full of pine tress and is a great place for a family picnic.

  -   The Haseonam, Jungseonam and Sangseonam are three allied peaks interspersed with lovely valleys and steep slopes of mountains. Jungseonam is located a little away from the Haseonam. With scenic beauty all around Jungseonam is home to a beautiful waterfall named Sangyeong waterfall.
