Cantabria: Situated in northern part of Spain, Cantabrian Mountains boast of a wide range of fabulous caves richly adorned with limestone formations caused by dripping water. The Moga area treasures a number of caves with colorful stalactites and stalagmites with tinges of blue and green.
Cueva de la Pieta: Considered as a natural wonder created by the erosive activities of an underground river, this cave is located in the Benaojan village near Ronda in Andalucia region. Tourists visit this cave to view the amazing limestone formations and primitive sketches drawn on its walls.
Caves of Sierra de las Nieves Biosphere Reserve: Accredited as a biosphere reserve declared by UNESCO, this natural park in Andalucia region holds an array of caverns and depressions including the deepest in Europe, GESM. Sima Honda, Sima de Horcajuelos, Sima Bambi are some other caves famous for fascinating rock formations. Much of the caves are yet to be explored.
