The most celebrated spots for skiing in Spain are located in the mountainous terrains of Aragon, Andorra and the Catalonian Pyrenees.
Aragon (Huesca)
The well maintained skiing destinations of Huesca offers quality skiing with nice slopes and consistent weather conditions. The best known spots are Astun , Jaca the proud host of 2010 Winter Olympics and the Candanchu the oldest skiing resort.
Andorra: The skiing trails of Andorra are much favored for breathtaking beauty and a wide range of skiing resorts including Pas de la Casa located in the highest mountain pass in Europe and Soldeu el Tarter a challenge even to the skilled skiers.
Catalonia: This region boasts of the most frequented ski resorts in Spain. Valle de Nuria is worth visiting round the year to enjoy a nice skiing trip with your family. At Boi Taull skiers can slide down the snowy slopes from an altitude of 2,750m.
Sierra Neveda: Sierra Neveda, the southernmost skiing destination of Europe is located at the soaring height of 3,481 m. Good weather conditions and spectacular landscape attracts thousands of visitors every year. Packed with tourists especially during weak-ends and Easter, this ski resort is less crowded in January-February.
Valedesqui and Navacrrada lying at a close distance from Madrid are groomed and equipped with advanced technological features like an artificial snow canon and other facilities are fit for a fun-filled skiing experience.
