Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art opened its doors to the public on 28th November 1995. The building of the museum was designed by Richard Meier & Partners and the building reflects tenets of Modernism. The southern elevation of this vast white colored building is glazed and from the museum you can enjoy spectacular glimpses of the plaza. The building of the museum has been designed in a special way so as to allow natural light to enter the interiors of the building. Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art houses a wide array of works of art with onus on post-1945 Catalan and Spanish art and besides this the museum also nestles artifacts of foreign artists.
