Skateboarding has captured Barcelona in Spain in a big way and things have come to such an extent that it is known as the Skateboard capital of the world. Barcelona has attracted a large number of skateboarders around the turn of the millennium and the number just keeps increasing.
The sport is equally appealing to foreigners as well as to the local populace since they rather mingle well for the love of the sport. In fact things have come to such an extent that the foreign skaters have far outnumbered the local champs and they even rent apartments for a long period to enjoy skate boarding in the wonderful atmosphere that the place provides. Things have come to such an extent that the city has been forced to introduce an anti skate boarding law, which has been introduced from the beginning of the previous year.
The things which the skateboarders look forward to include the warm weather which the city has three hundred days a year and the wild party scene along with the year round outdoor activity. The designer city for skating also has a vibrant nightlife that has to offer loads of hip hop music and there are lots of places that are infested by party animals.
