You can take the Funicular of Montjuïc that is a train. It is the most ecological, economical and comfortable way of access to the hill, a big space in Barcelona. It goes right to the top, tunneling through the hillside quite impressively. You can take a Funicular from Paral-lel to reach the hills; a bit of walk is still needed to reach at the summit.
You can also take in the tourist bus to the mountain that runs between all the places of interest on Mounjuic Mountain. There are two routes covered by it, one route begins and ends at Plaça d'Espanya, while the other route begins and ends at Portal de la Pau. There are 5 connecting stops so the routes can be combined. It operates every day from June to September. The rest of the year it operates only on weekends. For kids you have to pay 2 Euros and 3 Euros respectively for adults.
To take in the panoramic view of the city from the mountain hills you can also take the cable car. The car remains temporary closed for some renewals to cover the transportation needs of Mounjuic. The first cable car of the day leaves at 8.00 a.m. and the last leaves at 9.20 p.m. to access the Mountjuic Mountain.
To access the Parc De Mountjuic you can also take the Cable car transport service linking the Tower of Sant Sebastià with the Jaume I Tower and Miramar Montjuïc Mountain. This service is not to be confused with the Montjuïc cable car.
