Trekking in Granada

There are many exotic and magnificent trekking trails in Granada. Each trail is unique in its own way. Castril to La Paja it takes about 6 hours to travel this route. The beautiful path passes through endless orchards, and exotic caves towards the south along the river. You would also come across many windmills and village houses. There are also some steep climbs along the river side. The Marcelinos country estate located at a distance of 2 km from the final destination La Paja town, which is located at a height of 915 m.

Another beautiful trail is along the Granada´s coast from Sierra de Cazulas, Almuñécar to Otivar, which takes about 3 hours to complete the journey. The trail runs parallel to the river Verde from Almuñécar. The path will lead you to the other side of the river to El Trepiche. Moving further you will reach Jete town, which is a beautiful country side. El Molino de Quintana´s country- house will also fall on your way. You must stop here and spend some time in this serene beauty. From here you need to cross the river again to reach your final destination Olivar.

A trek to Cerrogordo takes just bout an hour. Walk on along La Hernedura´s inlet is an unforgettable experience. Expanding into the Mediterranean, it looks like the half moon. The Cerrogordo offers you a magnificent view of the cliffs over the sea.

Ascent to La Sagra, which falls in the northern Granada, takes 6 hours to reach the destination. The exotic journey starts from La Puebla de Don Fadrique, through a narrow path leading through hills and farm houses. La Sagra´s castle with its breath taking architecture is a place where you can halt for some time and rest. The path from here leads to the north-eastern hills through the pine groves.
