History of Zoo de Madrid:
The Zoo de Madrid is a very old zoo and was founded in 1770 and the Zoo was located next to the Botanical Gardens and the main feature of the zoo was the exhibition of the animals which were brought here from various parts of the American colonies along with some Iberian fauna and also those coming from Asia and Africa. However the new proprietor of the zoo is Antonio Lleo and it was under his supervision that the zoo was created with the proper infrastructure and other facilities. The present Zoo of the House of Field was first opened in1972 and since then the Zoo has increased the popularity among the people. There is provision for almost 3,000 people and there are provisions for more too. However a recent introduction was the exhibition of the free flight of exotic birds and there other species too which are displayed to the public.
Events:
One can come and celebrate the Birthday of the Zoo and also celebrate one's own birthdays here. The children are given exclusive strolls for 20m minutes and one can have lunch or other meals here.
