Bullfighting is considered inhuman, torture on animals or an act of violence by many but it is a part of the Spanish tradition and is also a national identity for them. Apart from this if you spend a week in the place, you are sure to catch a glimpse of one of this cruel yet intense Spanish art form on the Sundays. Just exit the metro station and right in front of you will be The Plaza De Toros is located just at the exit of the metro station. Costs of the tickets variegate from below €5, and you can pay up to as much as you want.

You will find passionate madrilenos as a larger part of the audience than tourists. The sport is not just about killing the bull. It is a complete pleasure to the eyes to see the brave bullfighters in their colourful costumes, so graceful in the way they move and subdue the bulls eventually striking the sword to the animals' heart to kill them. The whole act almost seems like a concert dance.
