Huertas, Madrid
Spain - Barcelona - Seville - Valencia - Madrid
In recent times, Huertas, Madrid has evolved into one of the nightlife meccas of the city with thousands of Madrilenos and travelers from all across the globe walking around and moving about from one bar to the next along the Calle des las Huertas and the Plaza Santa Ana, which is one of the major spots of nightlife in Huertas. The name Barrio de las Letras literally translates into the Street of the Orchards of Madrid from the Spanish. There is everything here that you would need to make your entertainment scene complete - from bars and pubs to restaurants, hotels and discos.
Endearingly called by tourists as the district of the letters, Huertas in Madrid
is adjacent to the Calle Atocha, a rather large area bordered by the LavapiƩs
district. Here at Atocha, there are the Reina Sofia Museum and the Atocha Railway
Station, one of the two main stations of Madrid, the other being Chamartin.
The area also contains a number of art galleries and restaurants that serve
traditional food.
