Teatro Lope De Vega in Seville is a neo-baroque theatre and it is named after the famous 16th c Spanish playwright, famous as the Spanish Shakespeare. He has more than 1,500 plays to his credit. Like most of the buildings in this area, it was designed for the 1929 Iberico-American Expo as the Pavilion of Seville and was later used as a casino. In 1980 it was converted into a theatre.
