Spain - Barcelona - Seville - Valencia - Madrid
The festival includes either the traditional Play of the three Magi or newer forms like the gorgeous parade or procession. Though these processions have newly evolved, you can trace back the history of these processions in Seville back to 1916.
Cabalgata De Los Reyes Magos & Epiphany Festival in Seville is celebrated by organizing a parade or cabalgata. Traditionally, the Day of the Three Kings or Los reyes Magos evokes the image of the wise men riding on the camels and thus bring in too much of enthusiasm on the night of the 5th January. During Cabalgata De Los Reyes Magos & Epiphany Festival, the Kings and their entourage dress up in gorgeous clothes and are accompanied by local public figures so that they can take to the streets on floats of the lavish processions of bands and dancers meandering through the streets of the city and distributing sweets to the spectactors.
