Spain - Barcelona - Seville - Valencia - Madrid
Spain is located in the South western side of Europe. The three oceans such as the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Cantarbrian Sea touch Spain. Fifty provinces of Spain are grouped into seventeen autonomous communities. Thus Spain autonomous regions comprise fifty Spanish provinces. Spain autonomous regions include seventeen communities. In addition to the seventeen communities there are two African Autonomous cities. They are called Ceuta and Melilla.

Various Spain Autonomous Regions include Andalusia, Aragon, Principality of Asturias, Balearic Islands, Basque Country, Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castile-La Mancha, Castile and Leon, Catalonia, Extremadura, Galicia, La Rioja, Madrid, Region of Murcia, Foral Community of Navarre, Land of Valencia.
Respective capitals of Spain autonomous regions mentioned above are Seville, Zaragoza, Oviedo, Palma de Mallorca, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Santander, Toledo, Valladolid, Barcelona, Merida, Santiago de Compostela, Logrono, Madrid, Murcia, Pamplona, and Valencia.
The Spanish constitution lays its foundation on the unity of the Nation of Spain. The self Government of all nationalities and regions are recognized and promised by the Spanish constitution. The constitution also ensures the commonness of all the regions involved in the Spanish Community.
Absolute legislative and administrative assurance is guaranteed to the Spain autonomous regions. The constitution assures the Spain autonomous regions own parliament and local governments. There is the absolute “autonomy statute’, who governs the distribution of powers among different communities. The “historic” communities and the rest are separated by a ‘de facto’ distinction. Initially the historic communities were given more responsibilities. These responsibilities included various functions. They had the right of selecting the time when the regional elections would take place. For instance the Basque community and Catalonia are given full police force for themselves. The entire force is under their command. While lesser number of force is provided to the other communities.
