Spain which is officially the Kingdom of Spain is a country located in Southern Europe. Spain has the eighth-largest economy in the world. It is a democratic country which is organized as a parliamentary monarchy with a hereditary monarch and a bicameral parliament. The official language of this developed country is Spanish. With its capital as Madrid, Spain covers a total area of about 505,992 square kilometers. Spain Provinces are of numerous numbers.

The country of Spain is divided into 17 autonomous communities and 2 African autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla. These autonomous communities are further divided into numerous Spain Provinces. Officially there are 50 Spain Provinces. Again some provinces are divided into comarcas. The lowest administrative division of Spain is the municipality.

The Spain Provinces experienced greater powers before the arrival of autonomous community system. But these provinces still enjoy some power like they are still used as the electoral districts, in postal addresses, phone codes and as geographical referents. The provinces are generally named after their principal towns. Seven autonomous communities are composed of only one province like Asturias, Balearic Islands, Cantabria, La Rioja, Madrid, Murcia, and Navarre. The provinces are divided into Comarcas, Municipalities, Human Rights, E U Politics and Foreign relations. Most part of the provinces are dominated by a beautifully landscape which is carved out by Spain’s one of the most important rivers called Rio Guadalquivir.

There are 50 Spain Provinces. Some of them are Alava/Araba which is a province of northern Spain in the southern part of the autonomous community of the Basque Country. The capital of this province is Vitoria-Gasteiz. Almeria is located in the south-eastern Spain on the Mediterranean Sea. Barcelona is the capital city of Catalonia and the province with the same name. It is the second largest town of Spain. Caceres is the province of the western Spain in the northern part of the autonomous community of Extremadura. Leon has the largest municipality in the province. It is a province of north-western Spain. Madrid being the capital of Spain is the largest city in Spain. It is also the largest province and the autonomous community. Other important provinces include Albacete, Avila, Burgos, Ciudad Real, Girona, Granada, Huelva, Soria, Valencia to name some of them.
