About Gulliver, Valencia
Gulliver, Valencia, Spain has been built on the bed of the diverted River Turia in the Jardins Del Turia region of Valencia. Gulliver, Valencia is the site of a gigantic wooden statue of a reclining Gulliver tied to the ground with ropes and coils that actually houses numerous slides, ramps, stairs and many other apparatus for the young ones to romp about.
The reclining posture of the statue at Gulliver, Valencia is a hark back to the chain of events that took place in Jonathan Swift's novel: the shipwrecked Gulliver manages to reach the island of the Liliputs, feels tired and goes off to sleep on the shores, only to be captured and bound by the Liliputs.
Here at the Gulliver, Valencia, however, the children squealing in delight and clambering up the hands and legs of Gulliver and sliding down his jacket look like the pint-sized Liliputs and the massive Gulliver looks like someone from the land of the Brobdingnags (the giants).
Apart from the plethora of kids' activities in Valencia that Gulliver, Valencia comes by, another attraction of this park is the statue of Gulliver itself, as a work of art that is. This colorful statue at Gulliver, Valencia has been created by the famed fallero artists of Valencia, who are known for their intricately detailed and stunningly realistic wooden creations, the fallas, that are burnt as part of the festivities during the La Fallas Fiesta, Valencia. But thankfully, for the children of Valencia, the fallas at Gulliver, Valencia is here to stay.
The Valencia Gulliver in Spain is a world of fantasy-turned-to-reality for the imaginative kids.
