Colombo enjoys a temperate climate mostly all round the year. The Average temperatures during the months of March-April are around 31 degree Celsius. However the difference is noted during the monsoon season. The monsoon calendar in Colombo is from May to August and October to January. Colombo registers the heaviest of rainfall during this season and hence is best to be avoided.
The diurnal range of Temperature does not fluctuate too much except during the dry winter months. The average temperature during this time is 22 degree Celsius in average.
