Negombo is a small town situated near the sea. Soft golden sands, glistening deep turquoise waters at refreshingly comfortable temperatures, banana and coconut trees swaying in the backdrop breeze and little wooden ocean side huts are all found here. Long stretches of deserted golden beaches make it a favourite spot for tourists from around the world. The place is so beautiful and fascinating that travellers from all over the world keep coming back to Negombo throughout the year.

The average temperature in Negombo is around 29C throughout the year. The place receives moderate to heavy rainfall. Since it is situated near the sea the level of humidity is relatively higher.

You will experience Sunny weather throughout the year; mile after mile of broad, white, sandy beaches, sheltered bays and a warm and calm sea are the features that draw sun and sea-lovers. Therefore you can plan your trip to Negombo at any time of the year.

Negombo lies to the North of Colombo. It is a small fishing town located at the mouth of the Negombo canal and is a small port. It is also very close to the airport.
