The most popular sport in Sri Lanka is cricket, though it is not the national
sport. The national sport of Sri Lanka is Volleyball. While aquatic sports,
athletics, tennis and rugby also enjoy extensive popularity. Aquatic sports
also forms an integral part of the sports and recreation in Sri Lanka. Once
in Sri Lanka you can let your spirit free and indulge in all the exciting water
sport activity in the blue waters of the Pear shaped island. Diving and sailing
forms a part of the sports and recreation in Sri Lanka. You can also hire boats
and set sail along the waters of Sri Lanka, infact boating is very much a developed
water sport activity. Other aquatic sports include such activities as surfing,

fraternity of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka has a large number of sports stadiums, including
the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, the R. Premadasa Stadium and the Rangiri Dumbulla
Stadium in Colombo as well as the Galle International Stadium in Galle. There
are a large number of public and private sports clubs, athletics and aquatic
clubs in Colombo also.
