Basketball in Taiwan
The seven teams are-
- Yulon Dinos,
- Videoland Hunters Dacin Tigers,
- Taiwan Beer,
- ETTV Antelopes (or ETSN Antelopes),
- Bank of Taiwan,
- Azio Eagles- formerly Sina Lions.
Yulon Dinos were the champions of the Super Basketball League for 2005-06.
Basketball in Taiwan turned professional in 1994 with the formation of Chinese Basketball Alliance. Taiwan was chosen to be the venue for the 24th R. Williams Jones Cup International Basketball Tournament in August 2001. The tournament saw eight teams vying for the top place. Taiwan’s Basketball Team won the tournament, the first one in the history of Taiwan.
Taiwan’s Basketball team has not done too badly in the recent years. In 2001 Taiwan secured the seventh place in the Asian Basketball Championship for Men, which was held in Shanghai. Earlier Taiwan had emerged runners-up in the Third East Asian Games in 2001.
The Women’s Super Basketball League has four teams as participants-

- Taipower
