The main activity of the festival includes sweeping of the tomb by the whole family that includes the young and the old. Then incense sticks are burnt on the graveyard and a small ritual bundled with a small offering takes place. The place is also cleared of any over growths and unnecessary creepers and wine, fruits and meat are arranged in front of the tomb.
Along with that, some new plants and bushes are also planted in the area and it has to be noted that all government offices also remain closed on that particular day.
