Taiwan Provinces
The Province of Taiwan does not include the countries of Kinmen and Leinchiang which comes under the Fujian Province. Most of the administrative operations of the provincial government are tackled by the Executive Yuan since 1998. The Taiwan Province is regarded as the successor of the Republic of China and the island of Taiwan is that of China. The People’s Republic of China is of the opinion that the Republic of China does not exist and claims the Taiwan Province to be the sole head.
Some of the ethnic groups of this province are Hans that comprise 97.5% of the inhabitants and the others comprises of 2.5% of them. The government of the province is controlled by nine members of the provincial council who are led by the governor.
The Province of Taiwan is divided into sixteen countries and nine provincial cities.

- Chiayi City
- Hsinchu City
- Keelung City
- Taichung City
- Tainan City
A noticeable fact is that Taipei and the city of Kaohsiung does not come under the Taiwan Province but is directly administered by the central government.
