Puli Taiwan

Puli is one of the biggest and one of the most beautiful among the inland cities of Taiwan. Though deprived of the coastal beauty, the city gets a perfect backdrop with the Central Mountain Range which fringes the north and east of Puli. The city is blessed with an opulent natural growth which further adds to its scenic beauty. Puli is particularly known or its art work and the town houses a number of artists cultivating the traditional art.

Attractions of Puli: The city is said to be particularly famous for its ‘four Ws”, that is its weather, water, wine and women! The mountain ranges maintain a mild climate all round the year, while the water has a balanced mineral content to give it a wonderful fresh taste. Puli’s brewery produces a variety of liquors that are widely credited by the tourists. The city has a number of attractions of which a few are given below:

The city is dotted with several Buddhist monasteries of which the thirty three story Chung-tai Shan monastery is one of the tallest Buddhist monasteries in the world.

The Arboreal Insect Museum houses a varied collection of insects and butterflies. Most of the species have been collected from across the island and provide a fascinating show of colors and shapes.

The New Era Sculpture Park has an impressive array of sculptures on metal, stone and wood.

The Carp Lake is a serene spot nestled among lines of willow trees. With the distant mountain range in the backdrop, the lake provides an ideal locale for camping.

The picturesque Sun Moon Lake is also near enough.

The Kuanghsing Paper Factory displays the traditional methods of producing hand made paper.
