The Kong Miao Confucius Temple in Talung Street is a tranquil monument with ornate designs and a quiet ambience that is typical to any Confucius temple. With a six meter high bronze statue of Sun Yatsen, the Sun Yatsen Memorial honors the father of the Chinese Republic. The building is constructed with a typical Chinese architecture of curling roofs and ornate patterns. The National Palace Museum and the Taipei Fine Arts Museum are also worth visiting.
