The tourists to Dragon and Tiger Pagodas enter it through the mouths of dragon and tiger sculptures. Entering through the Dragons mouth is considered auspicious by the Chinese since it transforms bad luck into good luck. Some visitors believe they should enter through the dragon and exit through the tiger.
The Dragon and Tiger Pagodas are linked to the shore with the help of a nine-cornered bridge. There is a perpetual breeze blowing through the Pagoda and this adds to the feeling of great serenity that comes after visiting it.
Dragon and Tiger Pagodas lie in Lotus Pond. The beautiful Pond has many other noteworthy structures like the Tung Confucius Temple and Chi Ming pagoda. Lotus Pond’s use was initially limited to irrigational purposes only. Under the orders received from Feng Shan Town administer, the Lotus Pond grew as a tourist area.
